History is important to our fellowship and unity as we believe Christ chooses the shape design for His body, the church.

WHBC began in 1961 as Victory Baptist Church. The church has changed names, pastors and locations till coming to Raab Road as Western Hills Baptist Church.

Pastor Roger Parrish came in July of 1988 accepting the pastorate with the help of his faithful wife Wilma and three children, Brad, Emily, Kyle and eight sister churches and a few faithful families making it possible for Brother Parrish and his family to begin full time on a good work as a Missionary status.

Under his leadership the church has experienced a new look at the local church and its purpose for existence. The church has experienced a steady growth spiritually and physically as God has added to its number and maturity. As "old things pass away and all things become new" (2 Cor. 5:17), we still believe that the church is standing in the threshold of a great work that God wants to do among those that are spiritual and willing to obey Him.

What We Believe . . .

  • We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. (1 John 5:6, 7)
  • We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 1:23)
  • We believe the blood atonement of Jesus Christ is necessary for the forgiveness of sin. (Ephesians 1:7)
  • We believe in the local church and its independence under the headship of Christ. (Colossians 1:18)

1. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

God has blessed our efforts to increase our parking lot
and add a new half-court gymnasium.
